Footmaxx Orthotics;
We offer the leading technology available in the custom fabrication of foot orthotics with Footmaxx™.
The Footmaxx™ system provides a dynamic computerized analysis of individual biomechanical foot dysfunction
Footmaxx™ has developed a computer program that measures your feet while you walk. This is important once you realize that traditional orthotics were fabricated from a mold or cast made while you were sitting. But your foot changes when you are stepping on it. The footstep that you take across the Footmaxx™ computerized platform takes incredibly precise measurements of the way your feet touch the ground and takes into account the size of your foot, your weight and your height. This information is then portrayed on the computer screen so the clinician can do a quick analysis to determine if orthotics may be appropriate for you. If so, the data from your computerized scan is then sent via modem to the Footmaxx™ lab for further analysis. There, custom orthotics are made just for you.

Functional Capacity Evaluations;
The purpose of a functional capacity evaluation (FCE) test is to safely stress a person's abilities to the maximum in order to produce objective documentation regarding the individual's capacity for work and activities of daily living. The FCE describes the maximum functional level of the injured worker. Factors critical to work performance such as strength, endurance, coordination, pace, safety, and psychological parameters are given full consideration. Limitations are also described in order to prevent further re-injury.
In the process of the FCE, injured workers are educated about his or her own abilities and limitations to facilitate a more productive role in their return to activity.
For more information about scheduling a functional capacity evaluation, please contact the staff of TAWA Physical Therapy at (780) 450-0720 or send us a message by E-mail to let us know how may help you.
